Astral Design's first kayak-fishing specific vest… the Ronny Fisher! A lightweight-yet-rugged powerhouse with mega-storage options.

Designed to meet the needs of anglers, Astral's new Ronny Fisher PFD utilizes the popular ThinVent back design for comfort and coolness on all types of kayak seats. The ThinVent technology features a feather-light 100% PE foam panel evenly distributed along the back, allowing the user to fully recline in tall seats without interference from the PFD. A breathable mesh panel provides ventilation in hot or humid weather. The foam is articulated to wrap the torso, while a molded front "shelf" in the chest area provides a great fit for both men and women.

The Ronny Fisher shell is constructed from a rugged 500d Cordura with added 1050d Ballistic fabric in the high wear zones to help reduce abrasion resistance and reduce the possibility of snagging a hook on the shell fabric.

Couple that with loads of storage options to keep your fishing essentials organized and at your fingertips and you have a perfect fishing PFD! Two large fold-down pockets in the front are sized perfectly to fit up to a 6.5” x 4.25” tackle box (sold separately). Also included are six strips of peel and stick Velcro so you can mount your small tackle boxes inside the pocket.

Both pockets have two interior mesh sleeves with elastic closure and key loops, while the outside sports zippered storage compartments sized to hold a fishing license, SmartPhone, and other essential gear. Dual YKK zippers provide quick one-hand access.

Caught in the rain? Reflective accents on the front and back provide visibility in low light, while the integrated, hi-vis rain hood keeps your head dry and makes yourself easy to spot.

The Ronny Fisher is designed with 16lbs of buoyancy derived from 100% PE Foam – it's recyclable, and weighs 2 to 2.2 lbs.
