The new Red Paddle Co Ride 9-8 is a great all-around board for riders up to 180 lbs./80 kgs, or a good surfing board for those up to 210 lbs/95kg. With a slightly narrower 31-inch beam, the Ride 9-8 is built from 100mm material, creating a responsive board that is 3.93 inches thick, but fitted with the Rocker Stiffening System (RSS) for increased rigidity.

Designed to work in all conditions,the Red Paddle Co 9'8 Ride has similar lines as the 10’6” Ride. It's great for paddling up creeks or for catching a swell off the sandbar. On the river, the wide nose adds stability and control, riding down whitewater exceptionally well. The Ride 9-8’s tail gives great stability in the surf and on moving water, while the tail pad aids control in the turn.

The Rocker Stiffening System (RSS) was designed to increase rigidity - it works by inserting stiffening strips (rockets) along the rails of the board. This works against the downward force of the rider, producing a stiffer board. The rockets are removable for easy board rolling, and can be stored in the carry bag. While some inflatable boards flex uncontrollably in the water, Red Paddle's 16-22 PSI super-stiff, double layer construction holds firm and allows you to travel with confidence.

All Red Paddle Co models are now constructed using Monocoque Structural Laminate (MSL) fusion technology. This innovative new process involves fusing a second layer of polymer to the drop-stitch material in the raw material stage. The end result is a higher-quality, high-pressure material utilizing less glue; this reduces the weight of each board up to 20% while increasing the tension and making the boards slightly more rigid.

Precise fin placement and rocker lines also turn Red Paddle Co. boards from being ordinary into something that you want to ride again and again.
