Love this little inflatable kayak.

First, WWW.AIRKAYAKS.COM couldn't be better. Great packaging, speedy shipping, and excellent description of product. They are also great to talk to.

We bought the Island Voyage version of the Advanced Elements Firefly. It was rated as condition C, refurbished. I was very surprised and pleased to see that it looks practically new. Additionally the repairs look like they will be permanent, not temporary. And the overall quality of construction is impressive. I'm sure it will last for years. It's not a throw away pool float.

I gave this kayak 5 stars because is excellent for a small inflatable. It's not the best inflatable kayak made, but it may be the best 7 ft 10 in, 16 lb model kayak you can buy. All shorter kayaks have tracking issues and so does this one. While this one is not intended for long distance paddling, you can actually go somewhere. Many department store models are like a inner tube that just spin in place with each stroke. The nose oscillates some with each stroke, but you do move in your intended direction.

We thought we might miss having a seat in the kayak. We don't. I turns out that sitting on the inflatable floor and leaning against the rear of the air chamber is very comfortable.

My wife wanted a light, easy to inflate, easy to carry kayak that was stable and easy to paddle. She likes to check out the flora and fauna on flat water such as small lakes and slow moving rivers. She says it's exactly fits her intended use and is very pleased with it.
