Weighing 27 lbs, Kokopelli's new Moki Lite is an extremely versatile, high-pressure inflatable kayak featuring an open cockpit. Three air chambers (one inflatable floor and 2 separate side chambers) utilize D7 Leafield military style valves. The Moki Lite construction consists of a 1,000 denier reinforced PVC bottom which can be inflated to 4.5 PSI. The pontoons are constructed with 840 denier nylon and include separate internal 2.5-PSI PVC bladders (2 pontoon chambers). The inflatable floor is made of a rigid high-pressure drop-stitch floor to give the kayak a more rigid hull enhancing speed and tracking in the water.A symmetrical (front/back) narrow trim allows the kayak to cut through the water with ease. This streamlined shape helps improve both the speed and tracking. The Moki Lite has a 6-point quick-attach bungee storage system on both the front and back deck of the kayak. The bungee is connected at the end with a male-female ¾” buckle for quickly securing gear. The comfortable EVA seat comes with quick-clip attachments to secure the seat in place. The seat is adjustable forward and backwards based on the paddlers height, and includes a bottom velcro attachment to keep the seat from slipping front/back if the boat gets wet. The included foot brace also offers quick-clip attachments that attach to multiple daisy chain loops, allowing the paddler to adjust the length based on the leg length of the paddler.
The smaller silhouette and lighter weight is perfect for recreational paddlers who still want high-performance; it’s ideal for flat open waters and slow moving rivers. With the included carrying bag, pump and fiberglass paddle, you have just about everything you need to get on the water!

Took some fussing to align the floor. It seems too long for the boat. Ended up removing the end from the back pocket, partially inflating all chambers and aligning, then deflating sides and reinflating in order. There is a serious pinch-scratch in the floor. Not leaking air, but needs to be addressed before I take it out. Re: the Orange Powered Pump. Doesn't seem to work very well. Came with several fittings, the Grey rubber one fits tight inside the valves but needs to be held in place. Frankly the hand pump is faster and lass hassle. Save your money, and skip the gadget. After inflating and aligning the boat seems fairly rigid and true. Looking forward to taking it out on open water.
Nice kayak, seems durable enough. Can handle the heavier winds in Maryland pretty fine. Airkayaks.com was awesome throughout the whole process, great customer service on their end. Kokopelli's customer service on the other hand, I can't really say the same. I ordered 2 kayaks. On one kayak, everything was fine. On the other kayak, I can't get the inflatable floor to fit properly. It's as if it is too long for it to fit in the pockets in the bottom of the boat as it is designed. If I try to fit it in, the inflatable floor will start to bend harshly as I blow it up. Again, I do not have this problem with the other kayak. Now I accept that this very well may be my problem in that I'm somehow not getting it in the absolute perfect position for it to fit evenly and inflate properly, but I wouldn't know as Kokopelli never gave me any tips to get it to work after I contacted them. They basically said 'Oh, that's odd. Never heard of that before' and that was it. Got no more replies after submitting a warranty submission form like they asked me to, which was weeks ago. I figure it's not a big deal and I didn't want to wait so long to get out on the water. My wife and I don't plan on taking it for any extreme whitewater rafting so as long as I have it in the front pocket it hasn't moved enough for me to notice, if at all. On the other hand my actual experiences on the water have been so far positive. Last thing--I do feel like the storage bag could be larger. It can be tough to stuff everything into that bag, and since it is made out of a metal-mesh material I have been avoiding using it so that I don't feel like I'm abrading the kayak material trying to force it. May feel the need to start using straps to keep it folded instead of the bag.
